Meet Jimmy Irwin.

I am a different character with many interests that would seemingly contradict or not go well together. I am obsessive compulsive for better and for worse and I love bullet points instead of novel writing, so, true to that, here is a little about me:

Hobbies

  • Snow skiing / snowboarding (I still can’t decide which one I like better)- Beautiful scenery, great workout, day ends early with a bucket of beers, listening to live music at the bottom of the slopes watching skiers come down the mountain only to leave to hop in the hot tub then to dinner and wake up the next day and repeat.
  • Traveling I love exotic places and experiencing the local culture. These types of vacations for me are centered around the local food, drinks and customs. I want to try food and drinks I have never even heard of. Now, I also love a quick little beach trip were my biggest concern is making sure I get an umbrella in my drink
  • Boating I know it well, I love it and I miss it all the time when I am not on one
  • Fishing and bird hunting When I was a kid, the first thing I would do when getting home from school was grab my fishing pole, hop on my bike and go to one my spots. Today, fishing brings me peace and reminds me of my childhood. It is a great way to spend time alone and gather my thoughts or make new friends and bond with old ones

Fatherhood

I have one child, a beautiful baby girl, born on Halloween day 2014. Prior to becoming a father, I was scared to even think about the possibility. I am still a little scared today that I will mess it up, but I realize now through my experience and through discussion with other parents, that there will be mistakes, the goal is to just limit them and most importantly show your love. It’s an all or nothing responsibility to me, you are either all in or not. I am all in and I absolutely love it and deep down, I know I am great at it.

And Just For Fun:

What is one of your favorite quotes?

“Success is to laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children. To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty, To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition. To know even one life has breathed easier because I have lived. This is to have succeeded.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Successfully fly and land a jumbo jet

What sound do you love?

My baby girl’s laugh. Best sound ever, period!
